I’ve Been Tagged

I have to admit–I’ve been hoping to get blog-tagged and now that I have, I don’t really get it!  JC over at Crafty Handbags tagged me and said I need to follow these rules:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Basically all facts about me are weird, and many are random!  Here’s my seven…

1.)  I really hate getting phone calls.  I think it’s in large part due to the fact that I’m not a good multi-tasker.  I can’t do anything else successfully when I’m on the phone so I feel like I’m totally missing something.  I particularly hate hearing the phone ring on Sundays and will most like ignore any non-urgent and unknown calls.  Now, watch, no one will ever call me again and I’ll retreat into a Howard-Hughes-esque state of agoraphobia!

2.)  Speaking of Howard Hughes…I think he had it right, keeping away from humanity and all.  OK, so I’m exaggerating a bit–I’m not quite where Howard was, but I think I could be.  I have anxiety and OCD symptoms that can be, at times, crippling.  Specifically, my anxiety is brought on by germs and proximity to other people.  I do my best to function normally–most of the time! ; )  It ain’t always easy though.

3.)  When I was in second grade I won a contest for painting the best "fire safety" poster at school.  I got my picture in the newspaper plus a $50 savings bond!  That savings bond is probably worth $39 today.

4.)  I can talk backwards, fluently.  I discovered this talent/deformity in junior high when I saw a bag of Doritos and reversed the letters in my mind.  It sounds like another language.

Geez, three more to go–does anyone really care?

5.)  I truly believe that exercising is the devil’s work.  Except for yoga.  I really like yoga.

6.)  My grandmother had bypass surgery over this past Thanksgiving.  I’m not quite sure of her exact age (we celebrate her birthday like 3 or 4 times a year so I can’t keep up) but it’s about 81 or 82.  She’s never had a medical problem in her life–never taken any prescription meds, nothin’!  She’s in fantastic shape and full of life.  When we heard she had a heart attack no one could believe it because she’s been SO healthy.  But healthy she remains–she was up and walking within a day of her surgery.  I hope I got some of her genes!

7.)  Okay last one…it should be good.  Ummm…I brush my teeth in the shower.  And then at night, I brush them regular by the sink.

Now, I think I’m supposed to go tag someone else…You can get the pretty gift tags pictured above at Lemon Tree Studio’s Etsy Shop.

  1. Well, I care. And I’m with ya on the phone call thing. Email was the best thing ever for my social life.
Sotirod? Yeah, this skill’s kinda unique.

I HATE the phone. I love to gab in person, or coorespond via email–not the phone. I think my husband’s coworkers think i’m the devil whenever i call. Our conversations last 2 minutes–I just gotta call to say what I gotta say and that’s it. No meaningless chit-chat.
