Envelopments Invite inspired by the Wedding Gown

I love an adventurous bride who isn’t afraid to step a little outside the box.  When I began working with Carrie’s aunt Pennie last year, I knew that she was just this type of bride.  First of all, she was laid-back enough to let her cool aunt handle the invites project!  And second of all, she’ll be wearing an amazing, hand-painted Jane Wilson-Marquis gown for her wedding–nothing run of the mill here.  The pattern on the dress was the sole inspiration for the stationery suite.

We used a smooth, matte, espresso pocket folder from Envelopments as the base.  Then we layered a soft willow green, with recycled ivory fleck paper for the printed layer to give an earthy and organic feel.  A response card and wedding itinerary slipped neatly into the pocket.  The folio is securely closed with a coordinating belly band, and wrapped with a double faced satin ribbon in moss green.

Thanks to Carrie and Aunt Pennie for choosing Mew to represent their unique, original style!
