What’s New at Mew: Kaleidoscope Envelopments Invitations

Purple, purple and more purple!  This is the third wedding collection I’ve done in as many months with the theme color being purple.  And to confirm the obvious, even the trendspotters at the National Stationery Show said what a hot color it was for this season’s weddings.  And no, I’m not even sick of it!

Oh, if only every bride was as sweet and easy-going as Kelly!  I met with the bride and her mom back in March, soon after I became a licensed Envelopments dealer.  When Kelly said that the only thing she knew she wanted were pocketfold style invites I knew this would be a fun job.  She was so agreeable and excited about the whole process all the way through–not only does it make my job easy, but also fun!

Kelly and Bill’s invitation is really more of a portfolio.  The shimmering outer folio measures 6″ x 9″ and weighs over 4 oz. when fully assembled for the mail!  Inside, 4 layers of bold metallic and patterned papers highlight the bright printed layer.  The pocket at the right neatly holds cards for the reception, R.S.V.P. post-wedding brunch and separate response, travel details and hotel suggestions.  The entire ensemble is closed with a silver satin ribbon and a monogram plaque.

Even the envelope is a work of art–each metallic white envelope is lined with a Kaleidoscope patterned sheet.  Custom stamps from Zazzle coordinate with the circle pattern to add that final touch!

This was one huge project for the Mew Studio, but without a doubt was a labor of love.  Thanks for being so easy to work with Kelly!
