Back to the drawing board!

Gosh, it’s been a while…not only since I’ve blogged, but since I’ve even had time to create anything new.  All of my time since returning from vacation (which was eons ago, it seems) has been spent producing and assembling for existing jobs.  Let’s get one thing straight…I love doing what I do, but sometimes double-stick-taping paper together for days on end can be, well, boring.  As I go through little growth spurts in my business I realize that these mundane parts, though a bit dull at times, are the sort of backbone of things.  After all, if I didn’t have hundreds of papers to stick together that would mean I didn’t have any business!

So what I’m getting at is how good it feels to get back to the (literal) drawing board and play again!  And speaking of drawing "boards"–I’ve just got a Wacom tablet!  Can’t figure out the hang of it yet, but it sure is sweet!

Here’s a taste of what I’ve been working on…go check it out!Mandala

Love the second one- it’s art nouveau-ish, so I’m sold.
I know what you mean about the assemblage. It’s like you feel you’ve almost done the job by selling it! Ugh, you mean there’s MORE?! Creating new seems like a luxury at times. It’s true what you say tho. Without that, there would be very little.

The creative process is the fun part, isn’t it? Welcome back.
