What’s new at Mew?

I think I’ve mentioned before that when I’m super busy getting orders out the door things can get a little mundane around here.  Actually, I hate using that word–it sounds so negative, and I really don’t ever feel negative when I’m working in the studio.  It’s just that sometimes I have to halt production and have a little free-for-all!  This week, Dino went away for a few days, so I’ve got to entertain myself.

The result are these two new invitations that seem to span the seasons.  I found some really neat vintage-style technical illustrations.  Typically, I use my own artwork in my invites, but I’m trying to broaden my style a bit.  I like the real classic, literal feel of these images.

Palms

The acorn ensemble combines that classic simplicity with a touch of modern and organic flair.  The palm tree set totally takes me to a fancy Palm Beach country club.  Look for more like these in the coming weeks in shop and in the Mew Studio.
